Turkey Stuffing Recipe
Great for Thanksgiving! Try out this recipe!
Ingredients
- Whole Turkey at least 12 lbs
- 2 pack Turkey stuffing mix can buy from Walmart
- 5 tbsp Butter
- 2 Onions
- 1 cup Chopped green onions
- 1 cup Chopped cilantro
- 1 pack Glass noodle
- Oil any oil should be fine
Instructions
PREPARE TURKEY
- Preheat the oven to 350.
- Remove and discard the giblets. Rinse the turkey. Pat the turkey dry with paper towels and place it in a roasting pan.
STUFFING
- Add about ¾ cup of water and 4 tbsp of butter in a medium saucepan and bring it to a boil.
- Pour in the turkey stuffing mix and stir.
- Remove from the heat, cover it, then set aside.
- Next, melt 1 tbsp butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add all the veggies; chopped celery (optional), chopped green onions, chopped cilantro, and onion.
- Stir about 5 minutes or until tender, set aside.
- In a pot, boil the glass noodles until soft.
- Drain it and put it in a mixing bowl.
- Next, add the turkey stuffing and veggies that you set aside in with the glass noodle bowl. Mix everything throughly.
- Sprinkle a little of salt & pepper and mix. Your stuffing is made for the turkey!
- Scoop all the stuffing into the turkey's body and neck cavities of the turkey.
- Rub exterior of the turkey with vegetable oil and loosely cover with aluminum foil.
- If you want, you can also season the butter body with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
ROAST THE TURKEY
- Put turkey in the oven and cook until the thickest part of the turkey reaches 180 degrees. Turkey should be cooked about 3 1/2 to 4 hours.
- Every thirty minutes, rub some melting butter over the turkey's butter body to keep it from burning. The butter will also give the outter layer a nice creamy taste flavor.
- Once the turkey is almost ready, remove the foil during the last 30 minutes of cooking to brown the outter skin.
- After the 30 minutes is up, you are done!
Notes
You can substitute the veggies to other veggies of your choice.
