Sesame Balls Recipe
Sesame balls are one of the most famous dessert in the asian culture. Try this one out!
Ingredients
- 1 cup Hot water to mix with mash potatoes
- 1 bag Glutinous rice flour
- 1 cup Rice flour
- ¾ cup Dry mash potatoes
- 1 can Coconut milk (400 ml)
- ¾ cup Sugar 1 cup if you like it sweeter
- 1 tbsp Baking powder
- 1 bag White sesame seeds
Instructions
- In a bowl, add the dry mash potatoes and 1 cup hot water then stir.
- Add in 1 cup of rice flour.
- Add in the one bag of Glutinous rice flour into the bowl.
- Add 1 tbsp baking powder.
- Add in the coconut milk.
- Add ¾ cup of sugar. Mix.
- Then, start using your hand to mix it. This will become your dough.
- If the dough is getting try, add little bit of water each time to keep the dough wet.
- Keep mixing until it looks or feels like clay.
- When your dough is ready, set it aside.
- Next, pour the sesame seeds into a bowl.
- Back to the dough, grab a good pinch from the dough, roll to about one inch wide.
- Then, roll the ball all over the sesame seeds. Make sure to cover sesame seeds all the ball. Set aside on a clean plate.
- After you are done with the balls, heat the oil.
- Add enough oil to fry the sesame balls.
- When the oil is hot enough, fry the sesame balls until they are golden brown.
- Once they are done, dry them on a drying rack to cool down. You are done!
